Square Pharma enters UK market
Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a leading drug manufacturing company, has started exporting medicines to United Kingdom, says a press release.
British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Anwar Choudhury inaugurated the first shipment of Square-made drugs for UK by receiving a token pack of products from Chairman of Square Group Samson H Chowdhury.
The inauguration of shipment took place during a recent visit by the UK envoy to the manufacturing and quality assurance facilities of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Square Cephalosporins Ltd in Kaliakoir, Gazipur.
Kevin Ringham, director of Trade and Investment of the high commission, and senior officials of the pharmaceutical company, among others, were present during the visit.
Earlier Square Pharmaceuticals got UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency) certification and this will open the door for pharmaceuticals exports to other EU countries for the company, the release adds.
