Riding on five-goal hero Sabbir Rana, Rajshahi plundered Panchagarh 19-0 in the Araf Apparels 21st National Youth Hockey Championship at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Apart from Sabbir Rana, Rana Kumar, Shuvo Kumar and Lemon Hossain also hit hattricks while Kawser Hossain, Bappi Kumar, Proshanto, Sagar Hossain and Abhijit Kumar scored one goal each.
In a comparatively low-scoring encounter, Dinajpur defeated Sylhet 4-0 with Khairul Amin hitting the back of the net twice.
In the late afternoon match, Rajshahi Division beat Comilla 2-0. Ahsan Habib and Belal Hossain scored for the winners.
Defending champions BKSP, runners-up Dhaka and Munshiganj emerged respective group champions to reach the Super Six.
YOUTH FOOTBALL
Youth football will begin across the country on November 2. Bangladesh Football Federation is organising the tournament.

QUALIFYING CRICKET
Udayan Cricket Academy registered a four-wicket victory over ACC Green in the Third Division Qualifying Cricket League at the Gulshan Youth Club ground yesterday.
Opting to bat first, ACC were bowled out for 113 in 35.1 overs with Mohammad Tanvir scoring 30 runs. Iftekhar grabbed four wickets for 20 runs.
In reply, Udayan reached their target in only 23.4 overs, for the loss of six wickets.
Golam Sarwar contributed 36 runs. Ashraful Alam claimed three wickets for 39 runs.
DIV 3 FOOTBALL
