Bengal Tigers' awards today

Bangladesh cricket team's fan club 'Bengal Tigers' will distribute the 'Aramex Bengal Tigers Cricketer of the Year' award for seasons 2006-07 and 2007-08 at a function at a local hotel today.
The best cricketers from the last two seasons will be chosen by direct voting of Bengal Tigers members and some cricket personalities from a short list considering their performance in the international cricket.
The award carries a crest and Tk 20,000 as prize money. There is also an award for the Best Woman Cricketer of the Year' for season 2007-08.
The shortlisted cricketers for the year 2006-07 are captain Mohammad Ashraful, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Shakib Al Hasan while for 2007-08, Mashrafe, Shakib Al Hasan, Ashraful, Tamim Iqbal and Shahadat Hossain were chosen.
Aramex International managing director and former BCB general secretary Mahbubul Anam will be present at the function as chief guest while former BCB vice-president Aziz Al Kaiser is a special guest.
Bengal Tigers president Kazi Tabarakul Islam will preside over the function.
