Religious Affairs Adviser AF Hassan Ariff yesterday said the government is determined for bringing about necessary reforms to ensure more transparency and accountability in the hajj management process.
He said this while he was discussing with some senior officials who were imparting training in MATT-2 course organised by the Ministry of Establishment.
The officials apprised the adviser of the pilot programmes taken for the reforms in hajj management.
The adviser assured all out cooperation to implement the reform programmes.
He stressed the need for changing the mindset of those people specially the travel agency people, for better result.
He also underlined the need for introduction of checklists at different stages of hajj procedure and urged to communicate the reform programmes to the pilgrims from rural areas.
