Case filed against Shaptahik 2000 editor, publisher, writer in Ctg

The authority of Al Jamea'atul Islamia (Jiri) in Patiya yesterday filed a case against the 'Shaptahik 2000' acting Editor Golam Mortuza, Publisher Mahfuz Anam and writer Daud Haider.
Chief Estate and Administrative Officer Mohammad Reza of Jamea'atul Islamia, a private Islamic university, locally known as Bara Madrasa, filed the case with the court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Ahsan.
The plaintiff alleged that the weekly magazine published an autobiographical write-up hurting religious sentiments of the people.
The court ordered the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station to take necessary steps in this regard.
