A case has been filed with Satkhira Sadar Police Station against five people including two accused in an earlier case for attacking the complainant in presence of the trial judge in the courtroom.
The complainant came under the attack when the accused were coming out of the dock after the court framed charges against them in the case on Thursday.
Police arrested two of the accused -- Bellal Hossain and his brother Nuruzzaman Khokon of village Manikpur in Shyamnagar upazila.
The other accused are Rahima Khatun of village Manikpur and Shafiqul Islam and his brother Anowar Hossain of village Ishwaripur in Shyamnagar upazila.
Shafiqul Islam and Anowar Hossain fled away soon after the incident.
Nazrul Islam of village Ishwaripur filed the case with Sadar Police Station against them for assaulting him in the courtroom.
Earlier Nazrul Islam filed a case with Shyamnagar Police Station against his servant Bellal Hossain and his (Nazrul) wife Rahima Khatun accusing them of fleeing together after stealing ornaments and cash worth Tk 2 lakh from his house on January 25, said sources at court and police.
