DU chess on

The Dhaka University (DU) Chess Championship began at the TSC Café yesterday.
Organised by the university's Chess Club, 115 students are taking part in the competition.
The tournament will be played on the Swiss League basis in seven rounds.
Former Dean of Business Studies Dr M Sirajul Islam was present on the opening ceremony as chief guest.
