Fake graduate headmaster held

Police yesterday arrested the headmaster of Joyrampur High School in Daulatpur upazila in the district on charge of continuing service for 13 years with a fake degree certificate.
Earlier in last month, Daulatpur upazila education officer filed a case against the headmaster, Jahangir Alam.
About two months ago, several people of the upazila lodged a written complainant to the upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) alleging that Jahangir Alam had been doing his service for around 13 years with a fake degree (pass) certificate.
After investigation, the then UNO Rupam Anwar investigated the matter and found the allegation true.
The UNO directed Upazila Education Officer Jufiqar Haider to file a case and accordingly the latter filed a case with Judicial Magistrate's Court in Kushtia against the headmaster and the court issued a warrant.
After the arrest, police produced Jahangir Alam before the court that sent him to jail.
