Dutch-Bangla Bank donated Tk three crore to Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) for constructing the six-storied Olympic building at the Bangabandhu National Stadium complex.
DBBL chairman AHM Rashidul Islam handed over the commitment letter to Chief of Army Staff and BOA president Gen Moeen U Ahmed at a simple ceremony held in Dhaka Cantonment yesterday.
Gen Moeen appreciated the bank's continuous humanitarian and philanthropic activities and termed the donation a unique example in the financial sector.
The proposed building will have all modern equipments, acoustic multi-purpose auditorium, a conference room, a four-bedded
sick bay with all emergency instruments and sufficient office space.
DBBL managing director Md Yeasin Ali, BOA general secretary Kutubuddin Ahmed and CEO Md Wali Ullah were also present on the occasion.
