Bangladesh Air Force yesterday observed the 32nd death anniversary of the former chief of air staff Air Vice Marshal (retd) Muhammad Khademul Bashar, Biruttam, with due solemnity, says an ISPR press release.
Bashar possesses the dignity of commanding the Sector-6 during the Liberation War.
Bangladesh Air Force remembers this freedom fighter for his glorious contribution in achieving independence and building Bangladesh Air Force with due respect and honour.
On the occasion, Bangladesh Air Force arranged milad mahfils at mosque of all the BAF Bases after Asar prayers.
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman attended the milad mahfil at BAF Central Mosque at Kurmitola. Later, he visited the grave of Bashar at Kurmitola and offered fateha.
