End politics of violence
I am an international student working part time for a security company. It's a twelve hour night shift. Today I am in a construction site. Whenever I am in a construction site I am really bored. But nowadays I have a laptop and mobile broadband modem. I can listen to music, have a peep in youtube, and, most important of all, I can browse all the newspapers from Bangladesh. Before the introduction of Internet, I was isolated from my beloved country. As a full time student, life for me is very hectic here.
I am always waiting to see news from Bangladesh. No exception today, but when I opened the net I was shattered to see the dead body of a businessman, his distraught wife and a burning car. My heart bleeds. Usually, I am not good at writing. But today I realised how helpless the people in Bangladesh are! Okay there was one/eleven, we know why and how it happened. The four party alliance looted Bangladesh like it was their bap dadar sompotti (inherited wealth). You cannot believe how we are treated outside Bangladesh, from the airport to immigration, because we hold the green Bangladeshi passport. I was talking to my fellow staff and he asked me what I was going to do after finishing my study. I replied that I was going back to Bangladesh. He said. “Well, Bangladesh is a poor and corrupt country, isn't it? What is your prospect down there?” This is their view about my Bangladesh. Who is responsible for this? Definitely our politicians. I don't understand Bangladeshi politics; it is so nasty that I don't want to. What I clearly understand is that the advisers of the caretaker government might not have been elected but they are honest, patriotic, educated and sensible. They are straightforward and bold. We need them at least for a decade. The campus incident is not an isolated one. It is an indication that we are going back to the pre-1/11 days.
Please do something and please don't let the innocent people be the victims of those selfish politicians again.
