Iceland President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson arrived in Dhaka last night on a three-day official visit.
He landed at Zia International Airport (ZIA) by an aircraft of Arab Emirates Airlines at about 8:15pm.
Grimsson met President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban last night. He will also meet Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed, Nobel laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus and other government high officials during his visit.
He is also schedule to attend the concluding session of an international conference on climate change at Sonargaon Hotel today.
The Iceland president will leave Dhaka tomorrow.
