European shares suffer fresh losses
Europe's main stock markets sank Tuesday after heavy declines in Asia and on Wall Street that were sparked by renewed fears about further fallout from the global credit crunch, analysts said.
The mood was also soured by a downbeat business sentiment and consumer confidence surveys in Germany, the biggest economy in the 15-nation eurozone.
"European markets ... look decidedly fragile especially in light of the further sell-off in financial stocks in the US," said Calyon analyst Mitul Kotecha.
