Ramakrishna Mission stands by Sidr-hit Fishermen

Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka has recently implemented a rehabilitation project for cyclone Sidr-affected fishermen in the southern districts, says a press release.
Under the project, the Ramakrishna Mission has distributed 3296 pieces of CI sheets for 16 schools, 20 temples, eight mosques, an orphanage and 67 houses in different villages in Bagerhat, Barisal, Gopalganj, Jhalakathi, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Khulna and Satkhira.
Besides, 16 deep tubewells have been installed in different places of Barguna, Patuakhali, Barisal, Pirojpur, Satkhira and Khulna for supply of drinking water.
Also, 25 fishing boats and 46 pieces of nets have been distributed among 51 affected families of fishermen in Barguna, Pirojpur and Khulna.
Earlier, the Ramakrishna Mission distributed 542 metric tons of rice, 3.5 tons of dal, 4.5 tons of potato, 5000 saris, 5000 lungis, 20000 blankets and 2140 sets of utensils among the distressed people.
