Two killed in road crashes

Two people, including an army member, were killed and 10 others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla and Kurigram yesterday.
In Comilla, an army member was killed and 10 people were injured in a collision between a truck and a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Chouddagram upazila at noon.
Police said the Chandpur-bound bus from Chittagong collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction at Ghinagazi at about 12:30pm, killing Mominul Huq, 28, on the spot.
Mominul was going to his village home in Chandpur from Chittagong cantonment to attend the funeral of his uncle.
In Kurigram, a college student was killed when a truck knocked him down in the district town in the morning.
Witnesses said Maidul Islam, a student of Mazida Degree College, died on the spot when the truck hit him near Dharala Bridge at about 9:00am.
