Three killed in road accidents
At least three people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Dinajpur in last two days.
Our Sirajganj correspondent reports: At least two people were killed and two others injured in two separate road accidents in Sirajganj yesterday.
The dead were identified as Amir Hossain, 60, of Betua village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila and Masud Rana, 8, son of Abdul Mazid of Dewvog village under Raiganj upazila.
Police said Amir died on the spot and two others were injured when a passenger bus hit their rickshaw-van from behind on the Sirajganj-Kazipur road.
Masud Rana also died on the spot when a truck crushed him under its wheels on the Sirajganj-Bogra road.
Police recovered the bodies and sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Our Dinajpur correspondent adds: One person was killed in a road accident at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur on Thursday night.
The dead was identified as Sariful Alam, 25, son of Saidur Rahman, of Sheikhpara village under Badarganj upazila.
Quoting locals police said Sariful was run over by a speeding tank lorry on Parbatipur-Rangpur road while he was returning home after finishing his work at a rice mill.
