18 Jhenidah school students fall victims of 'mass hysteria'

Eighteen students fell victims of 'mass hysteria' at Sabdulpur Munsur Ali Academy in Kotchandpur yesterday, the headmaster said.
Initially, 12 students fell unconscious all on a sudden at about 11am after attending classes for three hours, headmaster Aminur Islam said. They were immediately rushed to Kotchandpur hospital. Later, six more students became unconscious and hospitalised.
When contacted, Kotchandpur hospital on-duty officer Dr Abdur Rashid termed it as mass hysteria saying, 'No major problem will happen'.
