5 get life for killing banker

The District and Sessions Judge Court here in a verdict pronounced yesterday sentenced five people to suffer life term rigorous imprisonment (RI) for killing a bank manager.
The convicts are Abdul Jalil, Liton, Taleb Mian and Khokon Mian of Hazrapur village in Magura Sadar upazila.
The court also fined each of them Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer one year more RI.
District and sessions judge M Kader Newaz awarded punishment to the five for killing Aunath Bandhu Bose, manager of Sonali Bank, Munshiganj branch, also a resident of Alaipur village in Magura Sadar upazila.
Prosecution story, in brief, is that unidentified criminals stabbed Aunath Bandhu to death as soon as he got down from a night coach at Alaipur in the early hours of April 6, 2005.
A murder case was filed with Magura Sadar police station accusing the five.
