Train derails at Feni, 12 injured

A Chittagong-bound express train derailed at the local station early yesterday, leaving at least 12 passengers injured.
Railway sources said the train, Turna Nishitha, was given clearance for no 3 line, while entering the no 1 line at about 4:45am.
Though the train entered no 1 line, its last compartment entered no 3 line and then went off the track, injuring at least 12 passengers.
The express train left for Chittagong leaving behind its derailed compartment at the station.
Local sources blamed failure of the signal system and double-track point for the mishap.
