6 JCD leaders expelled
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), yesterday expelled its' six leaders accusing them of violating organisational disciplines, says a press release.
JCD also issued show-cause notices to four more leaders asking them to give their explanation as to why actions will not be taken against them in charge of violating organisational disciplines.
The expelled leaders are JCD Muhsin Hall unit's General Secretary Ehtashemul Haque, Vice President Azizur Rahman, Joint Secretary Mustafa-Al-Kamal Mostak, Publicity Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, JCD Journalism Department unit President Shafiqur Rahman and Dhaka University (DU) unit's member Mahidul Islam Hiru.
Acting JCD President Sultan Salauddin Tuku, General Secretary Shafiul Bari Babu, DU unit's President Hasan Mamun and General Secretary Saiful Islam Feroz jointly took the decision.
Show-cause notices were issued against DU unit's joint secretaries Akramul Haque Mintu and Sadiul Kabir Neerob, Law Secretary Mizanur Rahman Sohaq and member Mahbubul Kadir Sagar.
They were asked to give satisfactory answers to the notices to acting JCD president and general secretary within a day.
DU unit general secretary said they expelled five leaders in connection with the unwanted incident that occurred at Haji Mohammad Muhsin Hall last week.
On May 12, at least six JCD activists were injured during the factional clash at Muhsin Hall that virtually spread tension to others dormitories later.
