Mirpur ride on Akhtar

Akhtar's brilliant century gave Mirpur Cricket Club a close two-wicket win over Dhanmondi Cricket Academy (DCA) in Second Division Cricket League at the Dhaka University ground yesterday.
Young Akthar struck fourteen boundaries and two sixes in his 121-ball knock to take Mirpur to the victory target of 240 runs in 49.4 overs. Earlier, DCA set a score of 239 in 50 overs with contributions from Jimmy (65) and Mohsin (51).
Away at the City Club ground, Nabin Sangha beat Kalabagan Cricket Academy (KCA) by five wickets. Opting to bat first, KCA were bowled out for 149 in 40.1 overs. Khairul and Farid took three wickets apiece. Later, Rubel's 47 was enough as Nabin Sangha won in only 33.3 overs.
In the other match of the day, Young Cricketers (172-7 in 46.2 overs) beat Rajshahi Al Rashid Club (171 all out in 47.1 overs) by three wickets at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium.
