Work efficiently on serious crimes
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury yesterday called upon the ACC officials to prepare themselves to work with the same efficiency in absence of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on serious crimes and corruption in the future.
He made the call while addressing a coordination meeting between ACC and NCC at the ACC headquarters, meeting sources said.
The meeting was organised to gear up the ongoing inquiries and investigations.
ACC Commissioners Habibur Rahman and Abul Hasan Manjur Mannan, ACC director general, directors, defence officers representing 41 taskforces of the NCC and ACC officials attended the meeting that lasted for about two hours.
Emphasising more coordination the ACC chairman said everyone would have to work within limitations.
The meeting also discussed as to how the task of inquiries and investigations could be made more flawless.
Some defence personnel raised the issue of some problems faced by them in working with the ACC officials.
In reply, the ACC chairman assured that all the problems would be addressed gradually.
The commissioners and Brig Gen Mollah Fazle Akbar, who led the NCC in the meeting, among others, spoke on the occasion. ACC Director General (admin) Col Hanif Iqbal conducted the meeting.
