<i>Conjoined baby undergoes operation to repair cleft lip</i>

Hasan, the lone conjoined baby in the country, underwent another operation yesterday to repair his cleft lip.
The successful operation was conducted by six surgeons led by Ruhul Amin at the Islami Bank Hospital in the capital.
Hasan was born on April 28, 2003 as conjoin twin.
He was separated from his brother Hossain who died after seven days of the operation on June 24, 2003.
Hasan's father Abdul Halim is a farmer of Hossainpur village under Dumuria upazila in Khulna.
His mother Jasmin Begum told The Daily Star that their baby is now well.
“He had a cleft lip when he was born. The doctors suggested coming for cleft lip repair operation when he reaches five years, ” she added.
When asked Hasan told his name and at the same time recited a rhyme to this correspondent.
