3 policemen closed for misconduct

Three policemen of Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station were closed to Kishoreganj Police Lines on charge of negligence of duty and misbehaviour with detained persons yesterday.
They are sub-inspector SI Bodrul Islam and constables Mojaffar Hossain and Sirajul Islam.
While on duty at a gate of trade fair at Kishoreganj new stadium o Monday evening, a police team led by SI Badrul arrested several youths from a gathering at the trade fair gate and took them to Kishoreganj Police Station, Kishoreganj police station soruces said.
Later with the help of trade fair authority the detained youths got released and complained to Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman about SI Badrul and his team's misbehaviour with the detained youths.
Following the allegation the SP closed the SI and two constables to police lines.
When contacted, SP Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident.
