Shamsul Haq joins as consul general in NY

`M Shamsul Haq joined the Bangladesh Consulate in New York as the new consul general on September 5.
He joined the Multilateral Economic Division of the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka as the director general in January and served in that post until joining the new assignment in New York.
Earlier, he served in the Bangladesh Consulate in Los Angeles.
Haq exchanged views with local journalists at the Consulate office on September 7.
He sought cooperation of journalists in discharging duties and implementation of welfare programmes for expatriate Bangladeshis.
