Mild earthquake shakes country

A mild earthquake, measuring 4.9 in the Richter scale, jolted the country early yesterday.
There, however, was no report of casualty in the tremor that occurred at 02 hours 14 minutes 51 seconds, said a Met office press release.
The distance of the epicentre was about 243.9kms from Agargaon, Dhaka Seismic observatory and about 103 kms from Ambagan, Chittagong Seismic Observatory, the release added.
