Tk 5 crore touchstone statue recovered in Kaliganj

Police recovered a touchstone Shib Linga from smugglers on Saturday night.
Tipped off that a smugglers were trying to smuggle a valuable touchstone statue, a police team led by Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Khan raided Naldanga Rajbari in Kaliganj upazila at about 12:30am, police said.
Sensing their presence, the criminals left the scene leaving the statue by the side of Rajbari Pond.
The 30 kg statue would be worth around Tk 5 crore, OC Aslam Khan said.
