Belta AGM held
The annual general meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (Belta) was held at the British Council Auditorium in the city on Friday, says a press release.
Nearly 200 members from Dhaka, Barisal, Noakhali, Comilla, Netrakona and Chittagong attended the meeting.
Belta President Dr Arifa Rahman welcomed the members appreciating their support for the association.
She also spoke about the successes and challenges they faced.
Belta General Secretary Dr Rubina Khan highlighted the activities of the association which included an international conference, two seminars, South Asian regional networking and a number of ELT workshops.
Belta has made significant advances in the field of improving English language teaching at the grassroots level in the country, the release added.
