Jamaat Violence Goes On

1) The windshield, of a bus carrying a group of men from Tablig Jamaat which preaches Islam in different areas, lies broken following an attack by Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir activists in the capital's Malibagh Chowdhurypara yesterday. The activists were protesting the death penalty verdict handed down by the International Crimes Tribunal-1 to Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee on Thursday. 2) Nearby, Jamaat-Shibir activists throw brickbats at police. 3) During the violence, a female bus passenger runs to safety. 4) A truck burns after being set alight by Jamaat-Shibir activists in Sitakunda Bypass Area in Chittagong.
5) Police move in to remove logs placed by Jamaat-Shibir activists to block off a road in Ranirbandar area of Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur.Photo: STAR
