Obituary

AKM Shamsul Azam, a renowned philanthropist and chairman of Shihab Jute Spinners Ltd, died at his Uttara residence in the capital yesterday. He was 72.
Shamsul was also president of The Gregorian Association (alumni association of the St Gregory's High School).
He left behind his wife and a son to mourn his death.
He was buried at Banani graveyard and his qulkhwani will be held at his residence on Tuesday after Asr prayers.
