1) People stand in solemn silence in Munshiganj town, 2) family members of the victims of 1971 massacre, committed by then Pakistan occupation army and their local collaborators at Jathibhanga in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, bring out a procession in Thakurgaon town, 3) locals arrange hanging of effigies of a few war criminals on the premises of Central Shaheed Minar in Parbatipur town, 4) a large number of people bring out a procession on Rangpur-Bogra highway in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district demanding closure of the operation of Jamaat-run organisation Islami Bank Bangladesh, 5) people observe a three-minute silence at Chourangi square in Magura town, 6) school students line up, observing a three-minute silence, on two sides of NS Road in Kushtia town, 7) cross section of people join the silence programme at Gangunarpar in Mymensingh town, and 8) pedestrians as well as people on vehicles in Pabna town halt movement at 4:00pm yesterday to observe yesterday's countrywide three-minute silence programme demanding capital punishment to the war criminals.
