3 killed, 11 hurt in road crashes
Three people were killed and 11 others injured in separate road accidents in Satkhira, Dinajpur and Natore on Saturday and yesterday.
A correspondent from Satkhira reports, a child died as a truck ran her over in front of Anwara Memorial Clinic in Satkhira around 2:00pm yesterday.
The deceased is Parul, 4, daughter of Mizanur Rahman of Agardari in Satkhira.
Police said the accident occurred while she was crossing road with her parents.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, a schoolteacher was killed and 10 others were injured as a bus fell into a roadside after hitting the teacher on Bochaganj-Biral road in Phulhat area of Biral upazila in Dinajpur yesterday.
The deceased Tarok Chandra Roy, 25, of Gangapur village in Bochaganj upazila of the district, was a computer teacher of Deepshikha School in Biral.
The injured were taken to Bochaganj Upazila Health Complex.
Our Natore correspondent reports, an elderly woman was killed and another injured as a truck rammed an oncoming human hauler on Natore-Dhaka highway in Chandpur area of Natore sadar upazila at about 4:30pm on Saturday.
The deceased was Aleya Begum, 55, wife of Zillur Rahman of village Bangabaria in the upazila.
Injured Apiya Begum, 57, was admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital and, later, shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
