Trade thru' Bhomra resumes

Export-import activities at Bhomra land port resumed yesterday as the Bhomra C&F Agents and Ghojadanga C&F Employees (Cargo) Welfare Association called off their strike after 18 days. Nesar Uddin, president of the agents Association said, the strike was enforced on January 19, demanding smooth plying of heavy vehicles on Biddyadhari Bridge at Ghojadanga in India. The decision for calling off the strike was made at an urgent meeting at commissioner's office of Bashirhat subdivision yesterday The decision for going to strike was taken at a meeting on January 17 between Bhomra C&F Agents and Ghojadanga C&F Employees (Cargo) Welfare Association.
