India-Bangladesh Poets' Meet at Dhaka University
As part of the celebration of International Mother Language Day, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka in collaboration with Jatiya Kabita Parishad Bangladesh will organise a get-together and recitation programme titled “India-Bangladesh Poets' Meetâ€. The programme will be held on February 3 at RC Majumdar Auditorium, Dhaka University, according to a press release.
Renowned poets from both countries -- Syed Shamsul Haq, Rafiq Azad, Mahadev Saha, Nirmalendu Goon, Ruby Rahman, Habibullah Sirajee, Mohammed Nurul Huda, Asim Saha, Makid Haider, Kazi Rozy, Shihab Sarker, Dilara Hafiz, Muhammad Samad, Aslam Sani, Tarik Sujat, Shahnaz Munni from Bangladesh; and Ashis Sanyal, Uttam Das, Chandrakant Morasing, Piyush Raut, Krishna Basu, Mrinal Basu Chowdhury, Swapan Sengupta, Pankaj Saha, Shyamal Kanti Das, Subodh Sarker, Apurba Dutta, Bithi Chattopadhyay, Chaitali Chattopadhyay, Pinaki Thakur, Shibashis Mukherjee, Prabal Kumar Basu, Dr. Biswajit Chattopadhyay, Angshuman Kar and Subrata Bandyopadhyay from India -- will take part in the programme.
Noted elocutionists -- Dahlia Ahmed from Bangladesh and Soumitra Mitra from India -- will recite poems of Rabindranath Tagore and Sunil Gangopadhyay.
