Schoolgirl killed in Madaripur road crash

A schoolgirl was killed when a passenger bus ran her over while she was returning home from school in Ghatakchar area of Sadar upazila yesterday afternoon.
The victim identified as Iva, 10, daughter of Hiron Fakir, was a class II student of Ghatakchar Primary School.
Sources said the accident occurred when the speeding bus crushed Iva while she was crossing the road in the area around 2:00pm, leaving her dead on the spot.
The bus driver managed to flee.
