2 sisters raped, minor girl abducted

Two sisters were raped in Patuakhali on Thursday while a minor girl was kidnapped in Jhalakathi on Friday.
In Pangashia village under Dumki upazila of Patuakhali, two sisters were raped on Thursday night.
Police arrested Rubel, 25, son of Semil Mia of Shialli village under Sadar upazila in this connection on Friday, reports our correspondent.
Police said, the two sisters of Pangashia village went to Barisal to visit a relative's house. In the evening, when they were waiting for bus at Barisal bus stand, Rubel, who was known to them, came with a motorbike to the bus stand. He took the girls on his bike promising to take them to their house.
But Rubel took them to his (Rubel) own house in the village. Later he called his friend Sona Mia and both raped the two girls at the lonely house.
In Jhalakathi, a 9-year-old was allegedly kidnapped by her cousin on Friday. The victim is a class five student. Her alleged kidnapper was identified as Mamun, 22, son of Aslam at Sauthpura village in Rajapur upazila.
The girl was living with her mother at old Kalabagan, Katporti Road in Jhalakathi as her father worked in Saudi Arabia.
The victim's mother said that the girl was kidnapped from Purbo Indrapasa in Rajapur whether she had come to her father-in-law's house.
Police detained the mother of Mamun. We are raiding all possible places to rescue the girl, said SI Badal Shikder of Rajapur PS.
