Woman killed by those she gave shelter

Four miscreants, two men and two women, yesterday killed a woman, who had given them shelter for the night, and looted four tolas of gold ornaments and Tk 70,000 in the capital's Hazaribagh.
While the woman Taslima Akhter Jasmine, 40, was being tied up, the killers had kept her 8-year-old son, Prince, mum at knifepoint, said Hazaribagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Iqbal.
Jasmine, wife of Enamul Haque Parvez, an expatriate in Brazil, knew one of the women, Asha, 23, who had worked in her boutique shop for a week around one and a half months ago.
Asha brought the three to Jasmine's Tally Office Lane residence on Wednesday night, claiming that she was marrying one of the men the next day and the remaining two were witnesses, said the OC.
The boy, Prince,witnessed the killing and was the first to tell others of his mother's body, bearing a black mark on the throat, tied up on the floor in the morning, he said.
Police picked up two female domestic helps of Jasmine -- Shilpi Akhter Kajol and Bristi. Jasmine's daughter Rumana Afroze Shanta filed a murder case with the police station accusing the four.
