Dutch duo coming in February
Dutch coaches Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster have agreed to take charge of the Bangladesh national football team ahead of the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers which will be held in Nepal from March 2 to 6.
Bangladesh will compete against Palestine, Nepal and Northern Mariana Islands in the qualifiers.
“They are coming here in February and will leave after the completion of the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers. They are expected to arrive around February 20,†said Kazi Nabil Ahmed, chairman of the BFF National Teams Committee.
“The amount of payment to the coaches is not a concern for us, what is important is their involvement with the national team,†said Ahmed.
On January 11, the BFF signed a MoU with Kruif and Koster as Bangladesh national team's head coach and BFF Academy coach respectively and the contract will be effective from June.
