Two Hizb-ut Tawhid men held
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested two alleged members of banned militant Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tawhid from Bakalia in Chittagong city.
They were Mojibur Rahman, 50, of Jessore, and Belal Khan, 28, of Pirojpur.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Rab-7 arrested them with 820 copies of leaflets, nine books and 2 DVD disks on Jihad from Shahid Basiruzzaman circle adjoining the third Karnaphuli Bridge around 12:30pm.
They were distributing the leaflets among pedestrians, said Dipak Joyti Khisha, assistant superintendent of police and media officer of Rab-7.
