Coronation school's centenary starts
A two-day long programme marking the centenary of Government Coronation Girls' High School in Khulna city began yesterday.
The former and present students, teachers and staff of the school celebrated the programmes with festive mood.
Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the function by cutting a cake, releasing balloons and pigeons in the sky at 10:00am.
Later, he opened a centenary celebration monument on the campus.
Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Mesbah Uddin presided over a discussion at the school on the occasion where the Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque spoke as chief guest.
