Int'l confce on statistical data mining begins at RU today

A four-day international conference on statistical data mining starts at Rajshahi University (RU) today.
RU Statistics department in cooperation with Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project is organising the conference titled "Statistical Data Mining for Bioinformatics, Health, Agriculture and Environment," said the department teachers.
The inaugural ceremony will be held at the university's Senate Bhaban at 4:30pm. UGC member Prof Dr M Muhibur Rahman will present as the chief guest.
Pranab Kumar Sen of University of North Carolina, USA will present the keynote paper in memory of the department's founder chairman Prof KM Hossain.
About 110 speakers from home and abroad will address the event.
