60 Bogra Jubo Dal activists sued

Sixty leaders and activists of the local Jubo Dal have been sued on charge of attacking a Bangladesh Chhatra League leader and exploding bombs during the December 13 hartal called by the 18-party opposition alliance.
Former BCL leader of Government Azizul Haque College unit ATM Joglul Pasha filed the case with Sadar police station on Tuesday noon.
The accused include Jubo Dal district unit president Shipar Al Bakhtiar and general secretary Arafatur Rahman Apple, district JCD president Jahangir Alam and JCD secretary Shahabul Alam Piplu and Swechchasebok Dal president Mehdi Hasan Himu.
The complainant in the case alleged that the accused had attacked him at the circuit house intersection during the hartal called by BNP for release of its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The accused also injured him by beating and threw bombs, reads the case.
