Abductor gets 14-yr RI

A court here yesterday sentenced an abductor to 14 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) for kidnapping a 12-year-old girl, court sources said.
The convict is Saiful Islam of Abad Chandipur village in Shyamnagar upazila.
Judge Motazidur Rahman of Women and Children Repression Preventive Court here handed down the judgment in a crowded courtroom.
Police rescued the victim following filing of a case by her father with Shyamnagar police station on May 30. Police submitted charge sheet against the accused after an investigation.
