Road crashes kill 11
Eleven people were killed and 18 others injured in separate road accidents in Barisal, Sirajganj, Chittagong, Netrakona and Rangamati on Friday and yesterday.
Our Barisal correspondent reports, a tempu collided head-on with a truck in Ramer Patty area in the city yesterday morning, killing three people instantly and injuring 13 others.
The deceased were Ripon Mia, 50, Ratan Haoladar, 48, and Bristi, 8.
Meanwhile, Mahmuda died instantly as a tempu hit her in Goriarpar of sadar upazila yesterday morning.
In Sirajganj, a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Konagati area yesterday morning, killing two people and injuring three others.
The deceased were Abdur Razzak, the auto-rickshaw driver, and Mehedi,
passenger.
Meanwhile, Saban Ali of Raiganj, died when a coach ran him over on Bogra-Dhaka highway at Ghurka Beltala on Friday night.
In Chittagong, Iqbal Hossain, 23, died early yesterday as his motorbike skidded off the road in Shah Amanat Bridge area of the port city on Friday night.
In Netrakona, Israt Khaled, son of Masudul Islam of Kendua upazila, died as a human hauler hit him on Madan-Kendua road at Buiyer Bazar in the upazila yesterday
morning.
Our Rangamati correspondent reports, two motorcyclists were killed and two others injured as a jeep hit the motorbike at Bangaltoli in Baghaichhari yesterday
morning.
The deceased were Khalil and Puja, 6.
