Eight Shibir men arrested in Ctg
Police yesterday arrested eight Islami Chhatra Shibir activists at a hostel of Chittagong Government College in the port city.
Kotwali and Panchlaish police detained the Shibir men while raiding Sabur hostel from Friday night to early yesterday on suspicion of their involvement in the November 18 attack on police, said Inspector Abdul Aziz of Panchlaish Police Station.
On November 18, Jamaat-e-Islami and Shibir men injured nine people, including six police personnel, and vandalised 10 vehicles, and three cases were filed with Panchlaish Police Station in this regard.
