Road crashes kill 4, injure 30
Four people were killed and thirty others injured in road accidents in Dhaka, Manikganj and Satkhira yesterday.
BSS reports, rickshaw-van puller Mojibur Rahman, 30, died instantly as a truck hit his van on Urojahaj crossing in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area early yesterday.
Our Manikganj correspondent reports, a jute mill worker was killed and ten others injured as a bus fell into a ditch beside Dhaka-Paturia highway in Kashadaha bridge area of Shivalaya upazila in Manikganj yesterday morning.
The victim Akter Hossain, 40, son of Habibur Mollah of Boalmari in Faridpur, was the jute supervisor of Ratanpur Jute Spinners Mill at Barangail, Manikganj.
UNB from Satkhira reports, two persons were killed and 20 others injured as a bus hit a tree beside Satkhira-Ashashuni road on Dhulihur Ramchandrapur crossing in sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased were Proshanto Kumar Ghosh, 50, of Brahmorajpur village, and Idul, 22, son of Khalilur Rahman of Umrapara in sadar upazila.
Agitating locals set the bus afire.
