'Reform edn policy'
Education policy should be reformed to create knowledge-based generation, said the experts at a conference in the city yesterday.
They said the present policy was designed, shaped and reshaped according to neo-liberal policies.
The two-day first National Education Conference titled 'Whither Policy Reforms in Education in Bangladesh: Lessons and Challenges' was organised by Unnayan Onneshan at Cirdap auditorium.
On the first day of the conference, renowned academic Prof Muzaffer Ahmad said time has come to reform the existing education policy.
The conference was also addressed by Farida Akhter of Ubinig, Sajjad Zahir of Economic Research Group, New Age Editor Nurul Kabir, Piash Karim of Brac University and Pavel Partha of Barcik.
