ACC starts probe
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has started an investigation into the corruption allegations against former state minister for education ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon and his wife.
On November 13, ACC commissioner (investigation) gave approval for the investigation on the basis of a complaint filed by Rezaul Karim, secretary general of Sarbajonin Human Rights Commission, a rights body, said an ACC letter sent to The Daily Star from the home ministry yesterday.
According to the letter signed by ACC Director Tahidul Islam, there have been allegations of embezzling money and committing corruptions against Milon and his wife.
Preferring anonymity, an official at the home ministry said they sent the letter on order from the high command of the ministry.
