Teenage garbage collector dies after being beaten

A teenage garbage collector, who was beaten up by a chauffeur of a private car at Arifabad in the capital's Rupnagar residential area Thursday afternoon, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday.
The victim was Parvez Mridha, 15, of Baker's slum in the capital.
Police said Joynal Abedin, a businessman's car driver, hit in the head of Parvez with a stick following an altercation over delay in collecting the garbage from the house of Joynal's master.
Police arrested Joynal yesterday.
