Dipu Moni leaves for Djibouti
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni left for Djibouti yesterday night to attend the 39th session of Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation's Council of Foreign Ministers, which will be held in Djibouti from November 15 to November 17.
Foreign ministry officials said the meeting will review decisions taken in earlier meetings as well as the Fourth Extraordinary Summit, which was recently held in Makkah.
The conference in Djibouti held under the theme, “Session of Solidarity for Sustainable Development” would discuss the situation in Syria and how to stop the bloodshed there and address the humanitarian situation in Syria and neighbouring countries.
A range of other political, economic, cultural and humanitarian issues, among other issues of concern to the Muslim world, would also be discussed by the council.
